• Business information including business name, description, sector, stage, CAC registration status, location and funding purpose
• Age and gender (used to match you to age or gender-specific grants)
• Answers to eligibility checker questions
• Application drafts and notes you create on the platform

Information collected automatically:

• Device type, browser type and operating system
• IP address and approximate location
• Pages visited and features used within the platform
• Time and duration of your sessions
• Error logs and performance data

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google in accordance with your Google account permissions
• Payment transaction data from Paystack (we do not store your card details, as Paystack handles all payment processing)

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Generate grant match scores and eligibility assessments based on your profile
• Provide AI-generated application drafts and guidance
• Send you email alerts for new grants matching your profile (paid users)
• Process your subscription payments through Paystack
• Improve the accuracy of our AI matching system
• Respond to your support requests and enquiries
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the platform
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising purposes. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your data is stored securely on Supabase, a cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. We implement the following measures to protect your information:

• Row-level security policies ensuring each user can only access their own data
• Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS across all platform connections
• Access controls limiting who within our team can access user data
• Regular security reviews of our database policies and application code

Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the platform, including Supabase (data storage), Paystack (payment processing), Google (authentication) and our AI processing infrastructure. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to provide services on our behalf.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of NaijaGrantAI, our users or the public.

Business transfer: If NaijaGrantAI is acquired, merged or its assets are transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

NaijaGrantAI uses artificial intelligence to process your business profile and generate grant matches, eligibility scores and application drafts. Specifically:

• Your answers to the eligibility checker are sent to our AI system to generate match results
• Your business profile information is used to personalise AI-generated application guidance
• We do not use your individual data to train our AI models without your explicit consent
• AI-generated content is stored in your account so you can access it later

You can delete your eligibility check history and application drafts from your dashboard at any time.

NaijaGrantAI uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session, remember your preferences and improve platform performance. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the platform.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You can update your profile information at any time from your dashboard.
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@naijagrantai.com. We will process deletion requests within 14 days.

NaijaGrantAI is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user under 18 has created an account, we will delete their account and all associated data immediately.

NaijaGrantAI contains links to external grant websites and application portals. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. Always review the privacy policy of any external site before submitting personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and notify active users by email for any material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
